Sebastian Müller is a research assistant employed at the Chair "Anglophone Literatures and Cultures" whose work focuses on the "Internationalization of Studies". His work encompasses the improvement of study conditions, exchange programs, and general assistance with questions, for both international students and for Bayreuth students who intend to participate in an exchange with a foreign host university. Since September 2016 he is also pursuing a PhD project with Prof. Dr. Cortiel which focuses on “Neo-Frontier Spaces in Contemporary American Science Fiction Television Series". Before commencing his PhD project he completed a B.A. in “American Studies” and an M.A. in “Intercultural Anglophone Studies” (MAIAS) at the University of Bayreuth. His current research focuses on the genre of science fiction in relation to the medium of television. His further research interests include 19th century American literature and African American literature (especially the works of Percival Everett) of the 20th and 21st century.
